Bucky Bingo may be broken up soon
The news for those land based clubs, Buckingham Bingo hasn’t been good news lately. Because no buyer has been found as of yet that will be able to buy the whole lot of halls in one purchase they instead may be broken up and sold to buyers in a smaller package deal.
The current owners Barclays Ventures have had a bit of a hard time in the past and well it’s just something that they need to get rid of right now. Back in 2008 there was a write off of 76 million pounds that they had to do for a debt waiver. The original purchase of the business also cost them 90 million pounds back in 2005. Even though the bingo halls are having a tough time of it, the online site is doing quite well.
Since the news was spread that the company was open to offers for the bingo halls though, nothing really has come up. Of course the economy being the way it is the company wasn’t expecting much of anything. The leading company that may be willing to buy the properties seemed to be Leisure group Praesepe. They are hoping that maybe sometime in the early of next year that this company will be able to purchase the halls.
Praesepe Plc has been operating since 2007 and happens to deal with more of the Adult gaming centers that are offered out there. Offering a different type of gaming that includes the chances to bet on games and the such. It’s turned out to be a business that has been growing and you just never know they may be able to purchase those Bucky Bingo halls soon!
